The responsibility for accommodation lies with the don Quijote schools. I check the accommodation facilities, solve any unforeseen problems in co-ordination with the local staff, try to cater for any special wishes of our students and have informal chats with them to remain up-to-date and check that they are fully satisfied. The host families and owners of the student flats meet each other regularly at our schools. The results of these meetings and informal get-togethers often mean immediate improvements for you, the student".

GUEST FAMILY
It is good to know that most of the host families have worked with us since the beginning. The families know from experience what the role of a host is. Accommodation in a host family allows you to get the maximum out of your course. Nowhere else will you so directly experience real spanish life. Nothing could be better to help improve your language skills. The word "family'" should not be taken too literally, because your family could also be just a single parent who takes in students because he or she enjoys the company. You wouldn't be the first to go out together, or to keep in contact with the family after your return home.
You can choose from a room with breakfast, half-board (breakfast and you can choose between a cooked meal in the afternoon at about two o'clock or light dinner at ten) or full-board (breakfast and two meals). It is obvious that you will have to adjust a little to the rules of the house. Remember, too, that locals have different eating habits. Apart from that, you are free to do what you want. You will be given your own keys, so you can come and go as you please. During your home-stay you will be able to receive phone calls.
STUDENTS FLATS
You share a student flat with four or five other don Quijote students. We always do our best to accommodate you in a student flat with different nationalities. However, the common language typically becomes English. We suggest that you should reach an agreement with one another to speak as much spanish as possible.
The student flats are not very luxurious but they have all the basic facilities (a bed, table, chair and a wardrobe). Each student flat has a living room with TV, a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine and iron. In student flats there are no telephones available. You can make your phone calls from one of the many phone boxes. You share the kitchen and the bathroom and, together, keep the house clean. Shared areas are cleaned once a week.
Residence in Granada

You will live in an international group, which will make your time in Spain an extraordinary experience. Watch out, though, or with so many nationalities all together the common language will quickly tend to become English, French or German!
The residence is a restored hotel with a large terrace and it will take you a pleasant 15-20 minutes' walk to the school. There are rooms with a private bathroom or washbasin and shared bath/shower. Other amenities include in-room telephones, a dining room divided into smoking and non-smoking areas, two living rooms (smoking and non-smoking) equipped with satellite TV, video and hi-fi. You share a large kitchen, which is fully equipped with all essential kitchen utensils as well as cookers, ovens, microwaves, electric coffee makers and refrigerators. There are also available washing and drying machines. A don Quijote worker cleans the rooms and common bathrooms every day.
Residence in Barcelona
Thinking of your needs, don Quijote is very proud to announce the opening of a new residence exclusively for don Quijote students! The residence is located in the heart of the city on the famous boulevard 'La Gran Vía' and in the same building as the school in Barcelona. Can you imagine? It will take you only 5 seconds to reach the school to take your spanish classes! No need to spend money using public transport in this big city! The residence has 25 rooms as well as 24-hour security guard service. Hungry? Prepare your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen with cookers, ovens, microwaves, electric coffee makers and refrigerators, dining room, living room (smoking and non-smoking) with TV, video and hi-fi are also available, as well as washing and drying machines. Sunbathe after your classes on the 840 m sun terrace! Do not think twice! This is the perfect place to relax in comfort.
