Asian countries are used to be in need to learn and actualize English language. They are inferior, in a way, in learning it. The main reason for this then is probably varying. Reason in which, must not to be taken for granted, and still there is still alternatives to put this thing in order. Most of these Asian countries are Japan, Korea, Malaysia and others. Thus, extending the English language learning to these countries would be a great reinforcement for their people to be more literate, multi-lingual, and provides wider horizon to them.

In regards to the video, it shows a man visiting in a Japanese school. He should be teaching English to the pupils. But what happened is that, it seems the pupils are so domineering. Their voices and participation is really being seen. They are very active, but still in need to be one of the beneficent of learning English language. Their future is in great threat or in great chance to be more blessed. That’s why, introducing them the English language at their age, is an edge.
This video will do contribute to the enhancement of teaching strategy to children. How? Such, shows that we, us, teachers or as agent of proper learning for the students, we could reflect on the way the man is teaching to the children. We know that his way could be more developed and adequate if possible.

We can use many sources, visual aids, strategies, or preferences to share with them the intellect and the learning that we want them to partake from us. In Japan, as we know, English is barely use because they are monopolizing their own language; also, they can’t acquire it, because they don’t learn it more unlike other countries.

Korea is in the same way too. They don’t use English nor understand it. A lot of proofs for that have been taken as true. Koreans are not so inline with the language. Though, they have English subject there, still its not enough for them to learn and use it. Some of the Koreans prefer to get themselves educate with English language to other countries. By doing it, they could save, and at the same time, is learning.

Just like what is happening here in the Philippines now, they’d rather import here Korean students from their countries to educate with English language. According to them (only to those I’ve conversed with), they prefer here because, Filipino teachers are very good, patient, and cheap. It’s true, that Filipinos are really like that. But it would be a big slough for those Koreans who just think that the rate of teaching here is just that low. I want to check it then; it should be, enough for the services rendered by the teachers to their students.

English for them is that essential, and they really need it to enhance their Korean and Japanese children in the world of education, and soon to their business. Most of them have this view. And it’s very true. It’s such a wonderful thing to know that, even Asian people are now aspiring to learn more, and do perceive the essence of English language. So, let’s keep it up folks!

English language: Influential Language to Korean Students

Do Korean students have the same, views regarding English to other nationals? Do you heard them laying down their thoughts about this language and its influence bring to them? The video shows that English language is really powerful. It even softens the heart of Koreans. It creates a big slum to them.

Most of their parents see to it that their children are learning well, as well as, as possible, should learn English language too! They even take chances and sacrifice to let their children go abroad to study, so long as the quality of English education is their. As what those students in the video were saying, they want to learn English because it is powerful, it is their stepping stone and edge to get a good job in the future.

It shows that, looking for job there in their place is not easy if you are not fluent and good in English. Thus, it indicates that every one of them must consider and actualize English language. It even comes to the point that they are idolizing too much the English people. Thus, they relied to them too much in terms of educating their children. Most of them think that, if one is educate in English language, there is more world, more prosper and lucks.

I have known students having the same reasons and views with the students in the video. They are Hyo Jung Kim (Julie Kim is her English name) and Han Park (Lyn park is her English name).

Currently, they are here in the Philippines, they were sent her with the consent of their parents to study more. As far as I know, their parents want them to be more fluent and expert of the language. They are saying that English is very influential and already part of their educational plans. Their parents obliged their children to learn it no matter what, no matter what happened and no matter what it takes. They strive hard their in their country, just to send their children here and sustain them.

This is in accordance with what most people are pointing out. They treat and see English as eminent one to learn and to acquire. For them (Koreans specially), they praise so much those who could learn English language, which they really want to learn. One of my students sighed that, “Teacher, I want to be good in English, because I want to be an English teacher…so that I can have more many”.

As what they advise me to do, I should go to Korea for teaching; so that I will have more money. They said English is in demand to their country. Teaching could even make you rich. So, could you see now how English influence them?

To put it into one, for them, it’s very important for all aspects of their lives. They see it as their goal, their fantasy that is to be reach, as their great material to posses, and serves as their money maker. Well, its true and very practical way of thinking then. At least, they are very real and that persevering to learn more languages aside their language. In conclusion, English influences their way of living, views and goals as Korean and as our fellows. They have the same view with us other nationals, and its good and healthy way of seeing the importance of learning English.
