Hi Brenda. Was going to ask the same question about the office in Seville, a scam, methinks, is being perpetrated. I applied for a job with this organisation: abroadlanguages, seville – 2,200 euros/month, paid accommodation, paid airfares, etc. I’ve worked in Spain before – 2years – and this type of contract is unheard of – average monthly salary in Barcelona is 1100euros and paid accommodation doesn’t happen. The contract I was sent arrived too quickly into my “spam”, dodgey grammar, chronic use of English. Smell a rat. Abroad Languages, if you’re a legit organisation, you need to be aware that you’ve got some spankers on your ass… check it out.

Hi Mjo,
Thank you for your comment. We have been dealing with this scam for several month now, we have contacted several of the websites where this person has been posting fake job offers with our name, but unfortunately he continues to post on other sites. We have already contacted the authorities about this scam, please if anyone receives a job offer like the one Mjo posted above, do not answer it.
You can see that we have posted some information regarding our recruitment policies and job offers on http://www.abroadlanguages.com/jobs/

I too was given a job for 2,200 euros/month for a year, paid this person who was faking the name of Pilar Cantarino a lot of money. I called the local police, but they haven’t done anything for me. I lost a lot of money and it is disappointing to see what bastards live out there stealing people’s well hard earned money. It makes me angry b/c I have lost the money, my identity, respect for intl. schools, wasted time and effort for completely nothing. Stay away from this agreement and never wire money via the Internet. This is a serious lesson that I’ve learned and will never forget.

This article was fascinating and I would love to see more like it. One of the best ways of learning Spanish (or any language, in fact) is to take classes. This may be the most time consuming and expensive way of learning, but it will probably get the best results. Even better, take an immersion course and live in the country where the language I spoken natively. The next best solution is to learn Spanish online. There’s plenty of free websites out there which can teach you the basics. But if you really want to get on the fast track and see quick progress in learning Spanish, then I recommend you buy a good product which incorporates listening and conversation exercises. This is the fastest way to learn conversational Spanish.
But regardless of which option you choose to learn Spanish, you need to set aside some time where you can regularly practice your new language skills. Persistence and practice is the key to learning Spanish. Also, try to practice your conversation skills as often as possible. This will allow you to eventually “think” in Spanish. When you can do this, you will know that you’re making significant progress.
Remember that the best way to learn Spanish quickly is not by bombarding yourself with so many words and phrases you may not even use. Learn as you deem useful. If the reason why you want the best way to learn Spanish quickly is because you are going travel to a Spanish speaking place, do not flood yourself with so many Spanish words.
You would soon discover that the best way to learn Spanish quickly is the one wherein you are learning by need. You may be overwhelmed by the number of words, phrases and sentences you think you should remember. However, once you figure out which ones you really need, it would just come to you very easily.
