The power of the Internet has made it possible to dip in to a culture or a different language without booking up plane tickets. That's a great advance. I think that language immersion programs are the best way to learn a new language, because you have to speak the language you're learning all the time. In fact I studied spanish for 6 months in Salamanca and the experience was great, I got to practice and learn while enjoyed my time in a new city and environment. I would!
