Visa information

In order to apply for a Chinese Visa, tourists should hold a valid passport with at least two blank visa pages and six months validity left before expiration. They need to send in a fully completed visa application form with the passport attached. The visa form can be downloaded directly from the homepage of the Chinese Embassy. Depending on the visa and country, some documents might be needed explaining and proving the reason why the person wants to enter China.

L Visa
Traveling in China requires a tourism visa (L visa). An Individual traveler can apply for one at any Chinese embassy or consulate, and the procedure is usually straightforward. You can either get an application form directly at the embassy or consulate or download one by visiting the website of Chinese embassy.

F visa
With the letter of invitation from ESL – Chinese school in Tokyo, the students can get a 3 months F visa. It is possible to get several extensions for the F Visa but in total this does not exceed 12 months (3 months each time). The extension application should be made at the municipal Public Security Office seven days before the visa expires.
