Malta is an archipealago in the Medietrranean Sea, which only the three main ones are inhabited: Malta Island, Gozo and Comino. The archipealago is located south of the italian island of Sicily and the whole archipealago is composed of 20 islands, including the three main ones that we just mentioned and 17 minor ones:

If you decide to study in Malta, you will have the opportunity to do land sports such as rock climbing, cicling, football, tennis, etc as well as sea sports such as scuba diving, swimming at the Blue Lagoon in Comino, or just relax on the beautiful beaches and enjoy a year round sunny climate.

Also, you will be able to visit the Roman Antiques Museum, commonly reffered to as the Roman Villa. It's cathedral and the Mdina dungeons can't be missed, and finally you will have fun in the Nadur Carnival in Gozo, parade in Valletta and open air concerts.
