A: Courses are run all year round and last minute bookings are usually available.
Q: How do l register for a course? And how can you determine my level in the language?
A: Through your travel agent or by visiting our website www.elamalta.com where you can take our online assessment test. Alternatively, you can take the assessment test on the first day, where an informal oral test is also administered.
Q: Do I have to book accommodation through your school?
A: No, not necessarily, but we can arrange accommodation in the school residence, guest houses, hotels, hostels, apartments and selected host families. We offer accommodation within walking distance of the school or on the main bus route. We can also organise airport transfers on arrival and departure.
Q: Is your school accredited with any organisation?
A: ELA is fully licensed by the Malta Ministry of Education, approved by the Ministry of Tourism and is a founder member of FELTOM. It is also the LSI partner school in Malta.
Q: Can I sit for any examinations in Malta?
A: Recently we have been appointed TOEFL iBT examination centre by ETS. Currently we are the only centre on the island to offer this new version of this popular exam. You can sit for the full range of Cambridge examinations, IELTS and TOEFL examinations. Full free assistance is provided for registration.
Q: What facilities are available to communicate with my family back home ?
A: You can use e-mail at the school's onsite internet cafe. Free WiFi is also available at the school for students.
Q: Do I need to book activities in advance?
A: No, there is no need. You can book your activities directly at the school office.
Q: How are classes usually made up?
A: Our group courses consist of a maximum of 6 students in winter and 10 in summer, except for business and examination courses where a maximum of 6 students attend throughout the year. We have also introduced an Everyday English group course, maximum six students, during the summer months. Our Teen Summer classes are of a maximum of 12. Students are placed in groups depending on their level, age and nationality.
