Adult Courses

Standard course

This course is aimed at students who wish to study intensively in the mornings whilst keeping the afternoons free to put their new language skills into practice and to discover the local culture. This is ideal for a long-term course of study and for younger students with an active social life. Students who choose this standard course for 3 months (12 weeks) also benefit from our attractive trimestrial course offer.

Intensive course

In choosing this intensive option, you will enjoy all the benefits of smaller class sizes. The 5 extra lessons per week will enable you to develop your linguistic competence more rapidly through lessons specifically aimed either at the DELF examination or at discovering the French-speaking world’s culture. This intensive course is particularly suited to students wishing to make rapid progress over a shorter period of time.

Super intensive course

This Super Intensive Course has been built up for those who have to improve their French during extra short stays. We recommend it for intensive courses from 1 to 5 weeks maximum.

Combined course (courses in group and private lessons)

You don’t have much time to spare (less than 6 weeks) but you’d really like to boost your language level? The 8 extra one-to-one lessons will enable you to study particular subject areas in greater depth and to tackle new areas rapidly. This module enables you to make truly astounding progress.

DELF (TCF, TEF) preparation courses

This course contains 25 lessons per week. The teachers have many years’ experience in preparing all the mentioned exams, and will design the course programmes according to students’ level and their special requirements. After the preparation, the students can directly enrol the DELF, TCF, or TEF exam at school. ESL is the examination centre of TCF and TEF.

One-to-One course

In the private lessons you can choose the subject areas yourself, or your teacher can guide you based on your individual needs as highlighted in your initial evaluation. Options include business French (negotiation, telephone, correspondence, meetings) and French and Francophone culture. Private lessons can be combined with one of the group modules or followed on their own.

Internship programme

Thanks to our combined French course and work experience module, you can improve your knowledge of French at our school and then put it into practice in a company and provide a big plus for your curriculum vitae. No professional experience is required to sign up for a work experience. The training fields offered are numerous and include service in cafes and restaurants, various placements in the areas of tourism, web development, computing and administration.

Junior Courses

Standard and Intensive course

The group lessons in the morning and one-to-one lesson in the afternoon will enable you to study particular subject areas in greater depth and to tackle new areas rapidly. This module enables you to make truly astounding progress.

One-to-One

Students can take additional private classes. They include 5 lessons of 45 minutes per week. If you are interested in these classes, please let us know in advance as the number of participants is limited.

Ski/Snowboard package

With its 60 km of trail and various activities, Leysin is the answer to every snowboarder’s and skier’s dream. In Spring, those who want to discover this “Little White Corner of Heaven” can combine the language courses with three half-days of skiing or snowboarding per week.

Horse-riding package

Students fond of horse riding will enjoy this new exciting programme that combines language courses with 3 hours (split in 3 afternoons) of horse riding per week. The programme takes place in the “Manège de Leysin” where very good facilities will be offered. It even allows us to arrange full-board accommodation for private horse.

Super Mountain & Lake package

Students following a 4 weeks junior course will have the opportunity to study in two locations during their stay with our Super Mountain & Lake package. Students can choose if they want to stat in Leysin or in Montreux. The transfer between the two course centres is included. Prices remain the same as the usual 4 weeks package (20 lesson/week).
