Course for Professionals Medical Vocabulary

This unique 2-week course has been designed, above all, for doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Given the growing demand, we have designed a specific Spanish course that includes medical vocabulary. In the first week, you will have 20 lessons to improve your knowledge of Spanish and 10 additional classes focusing on medical terminology and information. In the second week, you will focus entirely on the specialisation, including a visit to a hospital. Through this programme of Spanish language and culture, you will develop skills for improving communication with your Spanish-speaking patients
Course Content:
- Essential grammar (reflexive verbs, to hurt & to like, comparison of adjectives, pronouns, imperative verbs, verb + infinitive, key verb.).
- Alphabet, numbers, dimensions, colours, time expressions, useful greeting / expressions.
- Spanish for Nurses and Laboratory Technicians (analysis of blood, etc)
- Orthopedics and rehabilitation.
- Conversation with patients.
- Parts of the human body.
- Laboratory procedures.
- Admission data.
- Medical history.
- Physical.
Practical Information
- Given at: Guanajuato (Mexico)
- Duration: 2 weeks
- Intensity: First week: 4 hours/daily Intensive Spanish + 2 hours/day Specialisation. Second week: 4 hours/day specialisation + Hospital visit.
- Group size: maximum 16 students per class.
- Required level: intermediate.
